Go across all of your business listings and ensure they not only match, but that they’re entirely correct.
2. Add Shareable Content to your Site
Today, shareable content is pretty much gold. If your site has nothing but blocks of text, people will not view it as helpful or as shareable.
Add videos, infographics, images, or blog posts to help spread your message. Shares drive traffic and the more organic traffic your website gets, the more reliable search engines see your site to be.
This in turn leads to a higher SEO ranking and the higher your ranking gets, the better the visibility of your website.
3. Keyword Research
Think about the words and phrases customers will use when searching your company or your product. Make a list of relevant keywords, and comb through the content on your website and ensure it matches up with your list. If not, update it so that it does.
Ensure that when you are editing and updating, you add keywords to your content titles, headers, and image alt text. Avoid changing URLs as this can break backlinks.
Doing this will prove to search engines that your content is relevant to the search queries, again boosting your SEO ranking.
4. Get Reviewed
Small businesses rely on the positive reviews of customers. It can not only help you stand out, but they can be the determining factor for new customers.
By asking customers to review you, you can build your trust with existing, new and future customers. When search engines can see positive reviews of your website and company, your visibility will again improve.
5. Social Media is Key
If you don’t have time for a content heavy website, or the upkeep of such a site, social media is your answer.
It shows up in search results, promotes sharing (which equates to visibility), and it’s easy to use.
Even if you do have a website, add social media share buttons and links to your social media pages. This makes it easy for your customers to connect and stay connected to you. People are more likely to interact while on social media and there’s a much better chance they will pay attention to your content.
If you apply all of these methods to your website, your online presence is pretty much guaranteed to increase, and in turn, so will your sales. Good luck!
